Sustainability
A safe future for our employees, suppliers and cocoa farmers. That’s what we work on every day.
At all levels, we want to make the world a better place. Besides our range of tasty seahorses, truffles and other chocolate products, we also contribute to improving the environment.
Sustainable partnerships
The partnerships we enter into with our suppliers are always long-term. Because we believe that chocolate farmers are entitled to a market-based income and solid support, we exclusively work with fair trade chocolate.
Environmentally-friendly production and distribution
We invest heavily in sustainable solar energy and switch to electric and hybrid cars with our own charging stations. In the future, we aim to work with energy sources from nature. In this way, we at The Belgian Chocolate Group want to minimise our carbon footprint as an international organisation.
Thanks to our sustainability efforts, we joined the Voka Charter, which is highly committed to 17 United Nations sustainability goals. This shows that we not only care about the environment, but also about the wellbeing of our employees and our surroundings.
Our guiding principle is that every link in our production chain deserves equal attention. From the hard-working cocoa farmer in West Africa to the consumer feasting on our products.

No deforestation and a viable
income for cocoa farmers
Since 2023, we have been a member of Beyond Chocolate, the partnership for a sustainable Belgian chocolate industry. This is how we contribute to:
Ending deforestation
Education for future generations.
A viable income for cocoa farmers.
Eco-conscious
FSC packaging
We also regularly review our packaging processes. That is why we rely on recycled FSC cardboard.
Would you like to produce chocolate under your own brand name with eco-friendly packaging? We will be pleased to help you.
